What do you think that bratz has been so successful in competing against barbie?

Bratz dolls were successful because there was a story line behind the doll. It was different from the Barbie doll in that it had outrageous sizing. The Barbie countered with a law suit, but the Bratz doll was simply a different, contemporary fashion doll that did NOT look like the Barbie fashion icon.
The problem with the Barbie is that it is an iconic product and, while the designers try very hard to keep it current, it has had no real "makeover" in it's history. The face of the doll is still the same one that it has had for 40 years. The Bratz doll did not look the same and had wildly different faces which appealed to the newest generation of doll lovers.

I always found Barbie alienatingly soppy, same 'I exist to please' grin on every teeny vinyl head, whereas Bratz had a different /better attitude? ~ independent, less doormat, more alive, which would appeal to kids & was a previously un-tapped market; in the dark ages, when I grew up, girls' dolls reflected an expectation that girls liked being placid, so Bratz were something new? As a child I *hated* dolls -(except 'action man' because he went on zip-wires, fun gadgets. I wasn't allowed 1 as they were 'for boys'!)- but if Bratzillaz /Monster Hi had been around, I think I'd felt differently, as they're more relatable & far better hair styles & colours than a legion of bland barbies!

In comparison, Barbie dolls look and seen mature more than Bratz dolls. Although, Bratz dolls are absolutely fabulous, as much as Barbie, and Barbies have ALWAYS been out ever since. Barbie company never had a breakdown. So, comparing them both are absolutely hard, and their clothes fit them both. I had tried Bratz clothing on Barbie and it fit. Maybe because Bratz's first producers, Mattel, had produced clothing first. Then came MGA E and the employee from Mattel came to MGA E and then were sued. This is a long story. Thank you. hold on mattle NEVER OWNED BRATZ DOLLS!!!! bratz are much better what would u rather pritty pink little makeup princess or a different style with fab designs which dont say be a be a blond with dogs in ya purses & scankey pink outfits :P plus bratz dont fit into barbie clothes & barbies DONT fit into bratz clothes bratz are much smaller & skinnyer then bratz barbie clothes on bratz are way TO BIG & barbir cant fit into bratz clothes DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Why did they cancel the Bratz?
I am pretty sure the cancelation of Bratz is because she creater of Bratz once worked for Barbie, and the people from Barbie think that they stole their idea. but they really didnt bratz and bratz baby dolls where making more money than barbies so they claimed they copied there idea

I don't know when but I do know why. Why Barbie sued bratz was because they were jealous of bratz and they said that the bratz looked exactly like them.
