Every company has its goal and vision. It is important for each employee to work as a team. If there is no team, everyone will just be working towards their own agenda. They may not be able to accomplish anything. The head of the department should bring the whole team together and discuss how things can be done properly in the best possible way. Especially if there are deadlines to be met. Encourage everyone to be pro-active although there has to be expectation of being appreciated when a goal is achieved.
