The requirements vary from location to location. Talk to the marriage license issuing authority in your county for the specific requirements. They may have to come to the license desk with you.
1. yes, realistically they should both have to sign one. 2. you have a messed up life...!
if you are emancipated you no longer need parent's permission for anything
It depend on you situation, If you can prove to a court that getting married is the best thing for you then you probably dont need your parents at all, but if you just want to get married at sixteen then you only need a parent who is a Legal guardian. It depends on the state. Many states require the signature of both parents if they have equal custody. If your parents are divorced then only 1 parent has to sign. My mom signed for me when I was 16 and me and my hubby are happily married! If parents share joint custodial rights then both parents must give permission for a minor to marry. If parents are married and one objects the minor cannot marry.
don't listen if you don't want to. (but you have to 20 or older...)
no u dont once she has permission of 1
First of all, if you are 16 or 17 and want to get married, your parents have to consent to the marriage. New York does not have an emancipation statute, so they are responsible for you until 18.
it is your choice not your parents. if your over 18 there's nothing they can do about it. If your under 18 you really should wait anyway. Most people wont respect you if you get married when your underage and it dousnt look the greatest. I get though if your trying to get your parents not to be mad at you for getting married. Sit down with them explain why you want to get married....talk to them about it. That's really the most you can do.
get a lawyers opinion, or wait two years. have an extra long honey moon
27-30
With parents permission. Under the age of 18 means you are still a minor so you need to have your parents sign off on your moving.
You can't, obviously.
You have a child at 16!!??? No, until you turn 18 you need your parents consent. In Scotland you can.
