There is no such standard mark 929 for Gold. In Italy, gold is usually 18K, and rarely jewelry would be made out of 22K gold, most commonly found in Middle-East and Asia.
It is very probable that the necklace is of silver, which might have the fineness hallmark 925, and the number 5 on the end might have been mistaken for number 9.
