That it needs to be broken is what Antigone proposes about Creon's new law in "Antigone" by Sophocles (495 B.C.E. - 405 B.C.E.).
Specifically, Theban King Creon issues an edict that denies to his perceived enemies divinely sanctioned rights of all Thebans to below ground burials. Princess Antigone has a strong negative reaction to the law by which her brother Polyneices' body is left above ground and exposed to ravaging weather and wildlife. She concludes that the law needs to be disobeyed.
no I do not believe so.
Creon has enacted a law prohibiting the burial of Polynices, who fought against Thebes, declaring that anyone who disobeys will face severe punishment. Antigone proposes to defy this law, believing it is her moral and religious duty to honor her brother with a proper burial, regardless of the consequences. Her actions reflect her commitment to familial loyalty and divine law over man-made edicts.

Petition their state legislator to introduce a law which covers their particulat area of interest.
It is to discourage future rebellion and violence that Creon says that the new law is in effect in "Antigone" by Sophocles (495 B.C.E. - 405 B.C.E.).Specifically, Theban King Creon introduces his new royal edict. He issues it in order to deny to the disloyal Theban dead their god-given rights as Thebans to below ground burials. He says that the law will discourage future challenges to Theban government and security.
It can push legislators to propose new legislation and to vote for or against it.
He knelt on one knee to propose to her. He tried to propose a compromise, but they wanted nothing to do with it.
Protection of the state is the reason that Creon gives for passing the new law in "Antigone" by Sophocles (495 B.C.E. - 405 B.C.E.).Specifically, Theban King Creon reminds the chorus of Theban elders of the recent, violent civil war over the Theban royal succession. He speaks of the need to protect the state and secure its people. He states that the new law of non-burial of the disloyal Theban dead protects the state and its people from disasters and enemies.
Too many people. Sir Isaac Newton did not propose that we all have gravity. Legislators did not propose that we all be free and self governed. Proposing new legislation is not the sole responsibility of a legislator. Repealing poorly written laws that attempt to accomplish that which they do not contain is another responsibility of your legislature. But your legislators are not the only ones proposing new laws. Propositional law has grown in popularity, activist judges want to legislate and haven't you ever heard anybody say in response to something they don't like; "They're ought to be a law against that"? Legislators did not invent the law that asserted murder is ill legal. Murder is wrong, because it abrogates and derogates the rights of the person that was murdered. This is the law. No one has the right to trample all over the rights of someone else or other people. This is not the law because a bunch of ancient white people in funny wigs made it law. It was always law and it will always be law. Too often today, what is proposed as law, is only plunder.
