Atheism does not really have a symbol. However some atheist groups use a capital A with a sort of circle around it similar to the symbol for Anarchy. The two are not necessarily related.
There is no official atheist symbol. It comes from not having an organization like a religion to establish a symbol (or greeting, or handshake, or uniform, etc). Some atheist us a script "A" in red (no dots) for their blogs, the US Military marks graves atheist graves in military cemeteries with many representative symbols. They chose a stylized Bohr atom which does have a dot on it representing an electron for atheist graves.
An English atheist is an atheist from England.
no, they do not Answer: As atheists are not an organization they do not have a single unifying symbol like the Christians cross. The US uses the Bohr atom symbol on the tombstones of atheists in military cemeteries and the scarlet "A" is used by many atheist blogs to show their orientation.
I presume you mean, Richard Branson. He is an atheist.
An atheist is a person who does not believe in gods. They are not an organized group and do not have special symbols, books, groups, churches, rules, superiors, or any of the trappings of organized religions. Some atheists may utilize symbols that have a particular meaning to them personally but there is no universal symbol.
No he wasn't. He did push for sociology to be considered a science, however that does not mean a person is atheist.
It means you are an atheist. An atheist is someone who does not believe in devils or gods.
Lately, I am seeing a capital A with an almost complete circle for agnostics and a capital a with an atomic symbol at its base. I guess some people can relate to a symbol, you know, like a cross for Christians...
Depending upon which symbol you mean, it usually means that symbol DOUBLED.
The idea of having to have a label or a symbol for everything is not reasonable. There is no tag for being able to walk upright, having and using an opposable thumb, having your eyes side by side not vertical on your head. For the US Military use, graves of atheist soldiers are marked with a stylized atom in place of other religious symbols, many atheist blogs use a scarlet "A" Agnostics may use the symbol of the rligion they nomnally support, the atheist symbols or just a blank space.
She had no symbol. Are you sure you mean 'symbol'?
Atheist comes from "theist," a believer in god or gods, and "a-" meaning not. Monotheist, polytheist, and pantheist have the same root. So atheist means one who does not believe in God.
