It is a celebration practiced in Perú, Chile, and Bolivia. It is part of the four day celebration know as Carnaval. La diablada is a dance associated with Carnaval and is known for it's colorful dancers and masks. It starts on the saturday before Ash Wednesday and follows through til "fat Tuesday," or the day before Ash Wednesday.
