The Quran does not promise martyrs 72 virgins in heaven. It does mention companions, houri, to all people—martyr or not—in heaven, but no number is specified. The source for the 72 virgins is a hadith in Sunan al-Tirmidhi by Imam Tirmidhi.
Quran refers to wives of men in heaven with example of worldly pearls, naturally hidden in their shells, until the rightfull owner opens the shell to take the Pearl out. The word virgin is not the correct translation of this instance, but it is an obvious part of subject in description here, through a common analogy of Pearls safeguarded in their strong shells none had penetrated before. It is an analogy pointing to other gifts we have received in this world from Creator of this sort. ONe gift to humanity was in shape of Messiah who was a Pearl of a Saintly womb, the word Virgin was used to refer much to this event through out in History of Christian world, it is word if highly esteemed state of purity and dedication. About having 70 Pearls as 70 wives, i would say most men naturally need more than one partner in this short life of less than 100 years, in life that had no end, i think man's nature deserves to be given the ultimate freedom especially when the law of monogamy does not apply in endless life of heaven with endless corners of Universe to travel and have more than many homes to live in and more than enough time for every friend and not just the wives. I find it a beautiful reality until it is misunderstood and misrepresented to defame Islam. But what i wrote here helped me myself understand this belief of Islam even better and in a logical way. Thanks for asking the question. Monogamy is only way to prevent adultery by married men out of natural need to have more than one partner. Islam does not say one will be forced to live with 70 wives in heaven, nor the translation of virgin applies to only the physical aspect of woman hood. But once again i stress on the fact that word virgin does not do justice with the proper interpretation and translation of this subject of Islam when read in Quran by just using the word virgin.
The "72 virgins" are not mentioned in the Qur'an or in any major hadith collection.
This is not a Biblical teaching. Suggest you go to Islam for an answer.
So far, nobody has gone to heaven-Paradise. It is better to think about the virgins of this world. Don't bother about those virgins. They may take care of themselves.
Silk is associated with femininity and extravagance, both of which are frowned upon in Islam.

ALLAh is the creator of heaven and earth in islam.....
Islam promises beautiful virgins from heaven to all those who will enter heaven. These are not humans but more like angels in the shape of beautiful women. Martyrs are rewarded highly in heaven and become in the high levels in heaven for the noble purpose of their death or for the difficult death they face in life. Martyrs are not only those who die in war, but also who die from some kinds of diseases, or who drown in water, or burnt in fire and God knows what else.

No because a Muslim doesn't know christ as their personal savior. So in order to get into heaven you must accept christ into your personal savior. So a muslim isn't going to heaven at all with 90 virgins.
to kill thousands of people!
The only human to ascend into Heaven was Jesus Christ:John 3:13New King James Version (NKJV) 13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.
