Mickey is a character from Blood Brothers (by Willy Russell) who was separated from his twin at birth. He has many siblings and which is a problem as his family are of the working class background. He is the youngest of the Johnstone's and during the course of the play is being set a bad example from his older brother Sammy. Naturally Mickey wants to be like Sammy, which later in the play gets him into a lot of trouble. When he meets his estranged brother Eddie, who was given to a wealthy home, he wants to be more like him and they play ends with his jealousy and rage having taken over him when he discovers the truth and that Eddie got a better life than he did. Both brothers tragically die at the end with a devastated Mrs Johnstone regreting actions made in the past. this is where they both end up dying

There's a lot of superstition used in blood brothers. For example Mrs Lyons puts her new shoes on the table and The Mother (Mrs Johnston) tells her to take them off because it's bad luck. A lot of small things like that are used.

Mrs Lyons- rich lady who at first employs Mrs Johnstone, before 'demanding' one of the twins once they are born. Mrs Johnstone- The biological mother of both the twins The Narrator- is an important character in the play, he creates suspense, adds to the mood of the play, and reminds us of important moments throughout the play.
