The RI stands for Rex Imperator.
Rex is latin for king, Imperator is latin for emperor.
The RI is most likely due to his standing as Emperor of India. Since the monarchy no longer functions as such, I future monarchs of the UK will probably just sign R at the end of their name.
This is purely speculative after digging around on the 'net after being curious myself.
Initials stand for Rex Imperator - i.e. King, and Emperor of India.

RI would stand for Regina Imperatrix if a queen or Rex Imperator if a king. R means King or Queen and I means Emperor or Empress. Naturally, since the end of British Empire, Queen Elizabeth only signs with Elizabeth R now. However, her father signed George RI as he was Emperor of India (until Indian independence) as well as King of the United Kingdom.

The phrase 'King Lim' in Japanese would be リム王様 /ri mu ou sa ma/. I'm not sure what you mean by its meaning. In case that's just a name, it would be transliterated to キングリム /kin gu ri mu/ into Japanese.
