When young they are more carnivorous (meaning they eat eat meat) and will eat fish, snails, crayfish, insects, frogs and earthworms. For both adults and juveniles a varied diet is important.
You can feed them the commercial turtle food (from pet stores), but do supplement with the other things they like to eat to keep them healthy and interested in their food. Adults are more herbivorous but still need some "meat" (fish, worms, etc.) A good base for adult diet is 1/4 of diet pellet/dry turtle food, 1/4 carnivorous foods (fish, worms, etc.) and 1/2 the diet should be plant based. Good plant foods to feed are romaine, kale, chard, and dandelion greens (without herbicides or pesticides!). You can also feed some aquarium plants such as elodea and horn-wort. I also feed my turtle tomatoes, bananas, horn-wort, romaine lettuce, commercial pellets and give her cuttle bone (like for birds) on occasion to give her extra calcium. Don't feed a lot of spinach or carrots as it has something (oxalic acid) in it that makes it hard for them to absorb calcium, which is very important for turtles. Baby and young turtles can be fed every day but adults only need to be fed every other day or so. My turtle loves to catch and eat rose-red minnows. It is also good exercise for her.
They also love to eat earth worms !
A red eared slider can eat cucumber slices, thin carrot slices, small feeder fish, dried shrimp, and turtle food pellets. The cucs and the carrots and the food pellets are daily, and the shrimp and the fish are like treats. :)
aquatic plants, fruit and insects.
,red ear sliders eat fish but you half to make sure the fish are small you don't want them to big i have turtles of my own'
Red eared sliders eat plants and animals. Young red eared sliders eat more protein like waxworms, earthworms, fish, shrimp and if you have pets you can feed them turtle pellets sometimes. The older they get, the more they like plants and vegetables like collard greens and kale. My big red eared slider once ate a mouse!
I have 3 red-eared sliders in a 10 gallon aquarium at my house. People say they can live over 40 years if you give them proper care. Mine are about 1 year old and they are just fine with what they are eating. They are eating regular Zoo Med turtle pellets. I also give them occasional snacks such as:
Red eared Sliders should be fed a small amount of carrot every 5 days, Carrots are not very healthy for Red eared sliders, Red eared sliders can also be fed minnows, kay and cooked chicken, ONLY WHITE CHICKEN
They will eat a wide variety of food. They will eat crickets but I don't recommend it because the crickets will jump in the water and drown. They will eat vegetables and commercail turtle food. But a good healthy diet is a turtle vitamin calcium chew and vegetables.
Live fish and some vegetables when they are older. Sometimes you can get them to eat turtle food bought from a pet store.

There is no such thing as a red eye slider, maybe you were trying to say redeared slider. (the red is not on it's eye, it is on it's ears) Common mistake. Check this website out. It tells you alot of things about the red eared slider. http://www.austinsturtlepage.com/Care/caresheet-red_ear_slider.htm
if your turtle is a male you will see a bump on either side of its tail. if its a female its more likely to be aggressive and will only have a slight bump on either side of it's tail.
Yes. My red ear slider turtles love to chase, catch and eat goldfish.
red eared slider turtle do not eat sharks. despite there ability to practically devour anything the sharks are to big to attempt to attack it. hence turtles do not try to attack them and red eared slider turtles don't eat them. :)
female red ear slider have a much shorter tail then the male.
our red slider turtle is 1 1/2 years old and she will eat 5 small goldfish at a time.

Yes. Red eared sliders can eat lettuce but not a whole cabbage, I know this because I fead my Red eared slider lettuc.
No, these two animals cannot live together well. The turtle will often attack the crab in an effort to eat it, and it is not advisable for them to live in the same tank together.
About 6 months
A red eared slider will eat strawberries. My red eared slider eat strawberries once a week and maybe half of one. Don't give it to them every day because they are very low in protein but your turtle will love them! i know that the pellets have the most protein and vitamins so you should check that out!
mostly all bugs
