1999 chevy 3500 hd starter drags bad have to jump start every time
No. 2500 is a 3/4 ton. The HD signifies a heavy duty suspension, more like a one ton, or 3500. The HD has a largerr hood, and more aggressive grille, and metal radiator, verses a plastic.
Check the sticker in the driver's door jam area. It will have all that information.
the 2500's cooler answer the HD is actually a rebadged 1 ton (3500). the front and rear springs are heavier, too The frame is different on the 2500HD. Look at the frame where it goes over the rear axle. It's easy to see just looking over the top of the rear wheels. If you see a 2500 (or 1500HD) parked next to a 2500HD you'll see the frame is much bigger at that particular point on the HD. If the 2500 HD is a rebadged 3500 then what is the truck that is badged 3500?
They are not related. HD stands for "Heavy Duty." LT is just a trim level, it doesn't hardly mean anything. For example, you could have an HD that is also an LT. the hds have a 6.0. if you have a 1500 lt that is not an hd, more than likely it doesnt.HD represents a capability rating; mostly on 2500's and 3500's. Some 1500's do have an HD rating, but it is rare. I never understood why General Motors made the 1500HD. It seems kind of pointless when you can just get a 2500 series.
Yes they are interchangeable.
HD Air Ltd was created in 1992.
Heavy duty
The HD has a heavier suspension
