You need a SVGA cable or S-video cable depending on your "monitor out" configuration. Doesn't matter if it is a PC or laptop, Windows or Mac system. Make SURE the SVGA cable is 2-male ends because the computer and monitor EACH have female ends. Visit Best Buy or Fry's Electronics if you are unsure what will work.
This depends upon the type of monitor and graphics adapter you are using, but in most cases, it will be either a VGA port, or a DVI port that the monitor will need to be connected to. You will also need a power cord to provide power to the monitor. These cables are usually, though not always, included when you buy a new monitor.
A computer needs to display graphics with a monitor and a graphic card can help you. you should have a graphic card that is installed to your PC, the graphic card depends on the model of the PC, if the card is not compatible it is still didn't work. so make sure that you have a compatible graphic card with you PC.
The monitor attaches to the computer with the monitor cable. There are at least 4 different types of plugs used. VGA is a common cable type, though probably no longer the most popular. HDMI, DVI and Display Port are other common types. From there, the socket connects to the display adapter plugged into the motherboard, or in a number of situations, the motherboard itself. Located there will be the GPU and related components which handle the video information. In some machines, the CPU also functions as the GPU.
Computer Monitors normally plug directly into the computer itself. An exception to this could be in the case of a large multimedia production. If you look on the back of your computer you'll find the connection for your monitor. You monitor is likely to have either a USB connection or a VGA connection. If you are using Apple products, you may encounter a DVI connection.
Pictures of these connections may be found with a Google image search:

displaying the picture. The actual computer is the big rectangle beside the monitor. on a laptop the monitor and the monitor are connected into a compact shape.
Actually, the monitor is a device wich has inputs (VGA-HDMI- etc...) And sometimes outputs (Audio-2nd Monitor, etc...) But, if you're looking your question in a computer-ish way, the monitor is connected to a computer output. To make it simple, monitor is connected to an output of the pc, or device

You have to wait until it is out of the box and connected to your computer.
No it is to be connected to a TV, not a computer monitor
a monitor is a screen that is connected to the computer to visually show what the computer is running
No it will not work because the PC monitor is connected to the computer for it to work and it does not work by itself. A PC Monitor is not a TV and it takes a TV to be able to connect a PS2 or a DVD Player and watch it
Most probable cause is the video adapter. Can you try it on another computer to prove the monitor is good?
It doesn't. IF you have a USB printer AND you have a monitor connected to your computer with a USB cable ANDthere are USB outlets on your monitor (The system I have in front of me is like that) THEN you COULD plug your printer USB into the Screen USB outlet.
The CPU is connected to all the peripherals, which include the keyboard, the monitor, the speakers, and anything else that is connected to your computer. Strictly speaking, the CPU is physically connected to the motherboard.
It is an 8- bit computer with 64KB of RAM and was produced in 1982. It was produced as a home computer and can be connected to a monitor and floppy disk drive.
If nothing happens when you press the power button, make sure all the wires are connected. make sure that both the computer and the monitor are plugged into a power source. Also, make sure that the monitor is connected to the computer. If it still does not turn on, you might be having a problem with one of the components in your computer. At this point I would take it to a specialist and have them figure out what the problem might be.
