If it was flashing ocasionally it means the DCS (Dynamic Stability Control) was engaging preventing wheel spin more than likely. If it was on constantly it means you have turned off the DSC.
If the light is on ( not flashing ) that means that the overdrive has been switched off ( the 4th gear of your automatic transmission )
