That depends entirely upon the species. Some species are actually impossible to determine unless you catch them in the act of breeding.
If you are refering to the "man developed hybrid" Parrot Cichlid then then they are locking jaws and trying out one anothers strength. A bit like a couple of people having an arm wrestle.
There are no tropical fish that will not eat their babies at some stage in their lives. The Cichlid and Anabantid families are probably the commonest ones that look after their ova and protect their fry.
There is a fish that does not look like a fish and it is an eel. Jellyfish does not look like a fish and starfish aswell.
Depends on the fish. If its a Goldfish, Zebra Danio, cichlid, betta or others like them then yes, but mollies, platys, Guppies, and many others are live bearers and the fry are born free swimming. meaning that A) you can actually see them and they look like fish, and B) they are born able to swim freely.
fish are fish
I am a girl myself but I am going to look at this as if I am a boy. I'd look for other girls. There are so many other fish in the sea, my friend.
Fish
Dolphins look like dolphins and why would they look like a fish when they are a mammal?
you could probably get by with it but if you are going with a blue Texas cichlid and a jack dempsey cichlid in the same tank there will be some rivalry because they look very similar. (jacks don't like fish that look like them) i don't know much about Texas cichlids, if they are territorial you want to go with a bigger tank. Jacks are VERY territorial and will kill anything to claim its fishtank. Hope this helps! :] by the way, both cichlids prefer 55 U.S. Gal + you could get by with them together, make sure that the jack is smaller also otherwise if its bigger it might kill your Texas cichlid.
There are thousands of species of fish and they all look different from one another in some way. Seawater fish look like fish as do freshwater fish.
She looked like an 8-year-old girl. Try the related link for a photo.
Just Google it and look at Wikipedia ;) WAY easier than using this site, and you'll find TONS of info on this fish. Tilapia is a freshwater cichlid that very rarely inhabits brackish water.
