Sea lampreys resemble eels. They are 12-20 inches long and have dark brown to black backs and light yellow to pale brown bellies. There is a feathery fin from their midsection down and under the tail. Their mouth is circular with circular rows of teeth and they have large reddish eyes.

A lamprey is a type of fish, often categorized as eels. They are jawless and have funnel-like mouths with many rows of teeth.

Pretty freaky looking. Go do a Google image search; they're fascinating.
