Most oil sending units have a wire or two coming out of the tip of them. They are very short with usually a wide base, like 22mm ish. Yet the compression threads that go into the block are small and fine. It's not going to look like much and would fit easily in the palm of your hand totally. Before I end, I just thought of a good description. It looks like a child's top or raddle.

What is the repair for Low oil pressure on a 2000 Dodge Intrepid?

It could be many different things like the oil sending unit, the plug to the oil sending unit, oil leak (low oil), or the oil pump are the most likely causes. Most of the time if the oil level is fine it ends up being either the oil sending unit or the plug.
