It could be a number of things. Suspension: shock or strut. Steering: linkage. Drive line: drive shaft or CV joint. Wheel: loose lug nuts or worn bearing. Need more info to narrow it down.
Possibly a bad wheel bearing.
if its while your driving it could be wheel bearings
My left wheel ticking while driving was causes by brake pads that did not fit. As explained poor fit.
Yes the crackling, popping sound means it is time to release the spit using your water key at the end of the slide.
jack the car up, if you can wiggle the wheel and nothing else moves..... tadaaa! otherwise while driving down the road, it may sound as tho your wheel might fall off.
Your car may need power steering fluid if it makes a buzzing noise when you turn the wheel.
a popping sound in the front end is a little vague but if it is happening while you are turning or driving there is a good chance it could be the CV joints ( only on 4 wheel drive models) if it is going on just while the motor is running it could be a sticky lifter in which case a quart of Lucas oil to replace one of your quarts of standard motor oil can also help this. or a mechanic can re-tighten your lifters these are just a couple simple things that can be checked but for more accurate answer the question needs to be more specific
If you are hearing a loud popping sound from your carburetor while the engine is running, then that is engine back fire. It is possible that your timing is off at the distributor if it happens often.
Sounds like a drive train problem or perhaps a wheel barring issue, depending on your vehicle.
If the steering wheel is loose while driving the steering rack may be going bad. A bad steering rack leads to a lot of play on the actual wheel.
The popping sound is backfiring this occurs for a few reasons one reason is your vehicle is running to rich or to lean this happens when you don't have the proper fuel and air mixture you can adjust this with a screw on the side of the carburetor. Another reason could be that your vehicle is firing to late or to early you can adjust this by retarding or advancing your distributor.
You may possibly have some air trapped in your heater core. If you do not know how to fix this yourself, then I would have it checked by a mechanic.
