what does the solenoid look like when it is hooked up correctly on a ford e150 econoline van
Most of the time it looks like a frog sitting on your pipe
you willl have to be way more specific about what solenoid you are looking for there are many solenioids that have different purposes on every vehicle.
on starters that have the solenoid mounted on them, the link is a fork like piece between the solonoid and the starter clutch, which is on the motor shaft. on starters that dont have the solenoid on the starter, it just has a overrunning clutch on the motor shaft
Here is a link to a store that sells them. There is a good picture that you can use to identify the solenoid. http://www.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=3160204.
it will look cloudy
the solenoid is located on the bottom of the transmission. You have to drop the trans pan and it will the the one on the driverside closest to the t/converter.
They were designed to look like their sphere of control (what they're the gods of).
Just follow the positive battery wire to the strarter solenoid post. The starter is attached to that solenoid at the back side of the engine Close to the tranmission.
On my 05 avalanche it's located behind the gas tank, over the frame. It look's like a cylinder and has a 2 prong wire going to it and a 5/8 hose shrink wraped to it.
not good not good at all.
