So what about your age difference. Two years isn't a big deal unless you are really young. If you are outgoing, than why are you asking this question. Go say hi to the guy. Sometimes a woman has to break the ice first by making the first move. Your first move will be greeting him with a hello and a smile. If he likes you, he will return the same to you. Start slowly. I went through the same thing. I was 26 and my new boyfriend was 22 just turning 23. I didn't know it at the time because he was more mature than the men I dated my own age or a bit older. I too have a very outgoing personality and a good sense of humor. I double dated with my boyfriend at the time (makes it easier on a shy guy especially if his buddy is one of the guys double dating.) If not then go out for dinner and a movie and let him get to know you. I personally feel going for evening walks is easier on someone that is shy because there are more distractions around the couple and a feeling of safety as far as not having to speak too much. Be kind, gentle and not too over bearing on the first few dates or you may scare him away. LOL I am happy to say that the young man I dated I married and we have been married for 35 years.
