If you mean the belts, you must first remove the front by getting the variator farthest forward and releasing the guide covers (usually a rotating little clip at the shaft and a release that lets the whole bracket pivot. Then the variator must be allowed to move rearward (the speed control lever) and the sheave (pulley) on the transaxle must have the four bolts removed (1/4" bolts, 7/16" wrench) to get clearance to get the belt off (will not clear the frame with out taking the sheave loose.) It can then be removed from the variator. Be sure to check the center moveable piece of the variator for free side-to-side movement. Wise to lube it sparingly with 30Wt and wipe excess. Assembly is done in the reverse order. belts are always replaced as a set. Be sure to check variator when both belts are off (only time to do it.) good luck!

Here are general instructions Place the variator in the 5th notch from the back or the 3rd notch from the front of the tractor. Under the variator lever on the right side of the tractor a two metal plugs. Pry out these plugs. Under one of the plugs is a bolt that takes a 3/4 socket wrench to loosen. Loosen the nut one or two turns. Disconnect the spark plug wire and then crank the engine until the left/clutch pedal raises all the way. Turn off the ignition key. Put the socket back on the bolt and while pushing down on it tighten the nut. Replace the plugs. Replace the plug wire. You should now have variator movement in the first five notches. Have just installed a malossi variator kit on my speedight with it a got a spring for your clutch you haven't installed this yet could this be why my bike is bogging down real bad when I'm setting off?
i think so m8 , i have just fitted polini variator kit but havent got round to fitting the tourque spring and its doing the exactsame thing as soon as i put on full throtle, i think if u fit the spring should sort you out .
