The African Rock Python (Python sebae) is characterised by its size.

It is one of the largest of the Python family, measuring up to 33 feet (10m) in length ! It can weigh upwards of 200lbs (90kg) or more !

Its colouration is of a dark brown background, dotted with fawn 'rosettes' and dark brown blotches - which helps it blend into the African countryside with ease.

It's diet, as a young snake, consists of rodents - gradually progressing on to larger prey as it grows - an adult will easily swallow small antelope !
