Bicameral as in two bodies. The House of Representatives and the Senate. The House of Representatives contains representatives of each state based on population, and the Senate has two senators from each state. Bills are synchronized between the two bodies before being presented to the president in final form for him to sign into law or veto (not sign - so it does not become law).

Bicameral refers to the structure of congress into two legislative bodies: 1) House of Representatives (with Congressmen/congresswomen) and 2) Senate (with Senators). Some states/countries have only one such body and are unicameral. In theory, the House may initiate legislation and the Senate is the "sober second thought" which can either pass that legislation as is, or send it back to the House of Representatives to amend with more tax breaks for their wealthy campaign contributors.

Is the United States Legislature considered bicameral?

Yes, both the United Kingdom and the United States have a bicameral legislature. This means that they have two houses which make up the legislature, both of which have power to make laws. In the US, the power of legislation is concurrent; in the United Kingdom, the power of legislation rests mainly with the House of Commons, although technically remaining a bicameral system.

What would happen if you divide congress into two parts or house so that in one house each state would have representatives and In the other house each state would have representatives based on it pop?

If Congress were divided into two houses as you described, it would resemble a bicameral legislature like the United States Congress. Having one house with equal representation for each state (like the Senate) and another house with representation based on population (like the House of Representatives) is a way to balance the concerns of smaller and larger states. This division aims to ensure that both small and large states have a say in the legislative process.

Which of the following is NOT a reason why the Constitution established a bicameral legislature?

Well, you can't say which of the following if you don't get choices but a reason they DID is to balance the powers equally. Its all part of the checks and balances system. Each state has two members in the senate, which is fair for the smaller states, and each state has numbers of people in the house of representatives based on population, which is fair for the larger states.

What are the three reasons for a bicameral legislature?

During the American Founding Period, the Framers (or, Founders) of the new nation created a bicameral legislative branch of government for a number of reasons. The principal reasons are as follows: First, they intended to allow the general populace to have a substantial, if not complete, say in the governance of the nation, hence their formation of the House of Representatives. Second, they intended to reserve space for specialists (one might even say 'elites') in the governance of the nation, hence their formation of the Senate.

Does the senate or the house of representatives have the right to declare war?

Congress is made of up of the House of Representatives and the Senate, this means it is bicameral. So its incorrect to say that you are wrong, only that you are partly right! As congress is made up of both, then it is both that have the power to declare war. :) hope this helps
