pseudoephedrine is a decongestant used to treat nasal congestion
dextromethorphan is an antitussive agent (cough suppressant)
The active ingredient that might be seen as narcotic in Bromfed DM (perscription only) is called Dextromethorphan. It is active mostly at kappa receptor sites, which means that it has no euphoric effects associated with opiates and pain killers. Indeed it is used to wean addicts from opiate addiction and is thus has no addition value, outside of putting off addiction withdrawal. However, be advised, Dextromethorpahn is extremely dangerous (seizures) if taken in even moderately high dosages, and since you cannot feel it, addicts will be very tempted to overdose, looking for an acutal uphoric effect. They will not find such effect before they succumb (die) from seizures.
Brompheniramine Maleate 2 mg,
Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride 30 mg,
and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide 10 mg

You're making things worse trying to do this yourself. Have a doctor help you to wean yourself off so you won't get so many withdrawal symptoms. There are good medications that help with this, and a good doctor can provide help and instruction to get yourself clean! Bromfed DM isn't going to help.
NO. They both contain antihistamine. .
