It is not abnormal for period blood to have a smell/odor.
I have been trying really hard to get pregnant this past month and I have alot of concern. I have had a strong odor while urination for the whole month and now I have spotting before my period supposed to be here. What should I do ? I have cramping too and the color of the blood turning to brown.
Have you recently had sex? had your period? due for your period? is there an odor? It could be an infection although sometimes when I'm near the end of my period if will change to a light brownish color then I'm done.
The blood toward the end of your period that is darker and has been sitting in the uterus before being expelled can have a distinguishable odor. However, odor can also be associated with problems like infection.
If your period is a week early and has a really bad odor to it, you might want to get tested for a sexually transmitted disease. While it is normal for your period to smell because of stale blood, any change in smell, flow or color should be taken seriously.
DOn't worry, it's not unusual on early / late days of the cycle, but if you feel there is anything unusual, the best idea is to go to a family planning / sexual health clinic because they are there to allay your fears and it's never worth sitting at home worrying. It's always a good idea to use it as an opportunity to get checked for other things too and just to put your mind at rest. Blood color indicates what is going on with the blood. Red blood has oxygen in it and blue blood has more carbon dioxide in it then oxygen. Brown indicates that the blood cells have quit being active or have died. If there is odor along with the color it may be of greater concern. As the other writer suggests, get it checked on. Dwight answer it means your vagina is cleaning it self kat
It may have been implantation bleeding. Ask your doctor.
im not 100% sure but usually its just because your not changin your tampons or pads as much as you should be , the gross odor's indicate this as well
no it dont only a normal period will have a odor not a implantation bleeding
Think of it this way, you haven't had you period for a year, when a women menstrates she is cleaning her system, releasing the old and letting fresh new eggs and blood in. Your system has not been able to do this in awhile so yes the blood will be brown and may have a slight odor to it for a bit until you body has cleaned it's self.
It is said to produce a creamy, buttery, or fruity odor.
brownish looking blood is usually old blood. As for the smell there is usually odor with your menstrual cycle, however it could mean a bacterial infection. If it persists follow up with you doctor. There are creams that can fix this problem.
