There are no codes 112 or 114 for any Dodge Dakotas, perhaps you mean 12 and 14?
Code 12 means: memory standby power lost. (Your battery has been disconnected recently or there is a short between the battery and the engine control module)
Code 14 means: MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor electrical circuit.
You need to have the engine and abs checked for codes.
There are pages and pages of things that can turn the check engine light on. You need to have it checked for codes to know what the cause might be.
Scan for codes, some parts stores do it free....Advance auto.
If you turn the igition on-off on-off on-off in less than 5 secs, the check engine light will flash the codes.
You can reset the check engine light on a 2007 Dodge Dakota by unhooking the battery. Leave it unhooked for 10 minutes before reconnecting it.
Check the fluid level. Check the linkage. Check all computers for trouble codes.
