Check your EGRC Solenoid valve.
There are pages of things that will turn the check engine light on. You need to have it checked for codes.
Use an automotive computer code-scanner to read the stored code. Then you'll know why the "check engine" light is on.

if your take it to a autozone tell them you have a check engine light and they will tell you whats wrong if anything and reset it take it to autozone and tell them your check engine light is on and they should reset it
The Nissan Altima has an opaque cylinder that holds the brake fluid. Looking on the side of the cylinder, check the high and low marks and make sure that the fluid is between the two.
