P 0342 is a problem with the Camshaft Position Sensor.
I know, because I have the exact same ride, and have the exact same problem. There's tons of people out there with the same issue.
Before ordering a new Camshaft Position Sensor, check the wiring harness first to ensure that hasn't corroded or been damaged in any way.
If the harness looks good, then you need to replace the sensor.
You can find the sensor online for anywhere from $80-125 and from what I've been reading online, it can be a DIY project to save a couple hundred in labor parts.
I get my new sensor in Friday and will be replacing it. I will try to make a YouTube video to document the steps.
