Most dogs want to do anything their master/mistress wants to do. They usually love car rides, going camping, walks, playing, they'll sleep (keep one eye on you at all times in case you move LOL) and usually like to meet other dogs while walking. They are generally fiercely loyal and just want to please their owner. Being part of the family is a dream come true for dogs. Dogs like to chase their tails They like to run, jump, chew, mate, hum and eat.

∙ 15y agoDogs are very social animals - their family or pack is very important to them. They're also very smart.
For that reason, one thing most dogs really love is learning new things that please you. You can teach them all kinds of tricks, and when they do well, lavish praise on them.
When you smile and laugh and tell them what a good, smart dog they are, they understand that, and they love it. They don't understand the words and language, of course, but they understand the body language and the emotion, and what it means... "I did good! She likes me!"
Dogs are also natural pack hunters, and they hunt by tracking and chasing... So, most any game that involves hunting, tracking, chasing, and finding things is a big hit.
Fetch, catch, Frisbee games, a good toy they can bite and shake, or even exploring with you, whether walking, or going for a run... All these activities resonate with hunting for them, and they love that.
Also, of course, because they are so family oriented, they'll love just spending quiet time with you while you read, work on the computer, or watch TV... Sitting near by, being petted a bit, or - if they're small enough - sitting in your lap. Any time spent in close proximity with the pack is a good time, to a dog.
