I had the same problem on my 1997 Toyota Camry. Took it to autozone and they told me the code was ins. air for the EGR, and my EGR was bad and needed to be replaced. i think he wanted like $150, but I'm a college student and it didnt seem to be making my car run really abnormally... i got tired of seeing the check engine light... i took the EGR out, and took all 4 vacuum out with it. i pulled off all the lines and blew/sucked a small puff of air into the bottom of the EGR... the diaphragm moved easily... so my EGR was good. i started to blow through the hoses to check them. when i got to the biggest hose that goes into the bottom of the EGR... it was almost totally blocked. i cleaned it out with a chopstick to break all the hard crap loose... ran hot water through it... let it dry and popped it back in. fixed. i guess i could/should have bought a new vacuum line but it was 3am. :p

AnswerIt's probably blocked from corrosion, blocked with exhaust buildup or kinked shut.2001 ford windstar has code PO401 erg insufficent flow.
where is the mass air flow sensor on a toyota camry with a 2.2 4 cyli nder
The air flow sensor is located inside the air box of a 1998 Toyota Camry LE. To replace the unit the air box screws must be unmounted and the sensor disconnected.
I had the same thing happen to my car that code means insufficent egr flow. You have to replace the egr valve.
Replace the EGR valve. It routs 1200 degree exhaust into the 1800 degree combustion chanbers to decrease preignition and reduce nox.
It meters liquid high pressure refrigerant into the evaporator which is located in the heater housing under the dash. It controls refrigerant flow to keep the evaporator coil from icing up.
The purge flow is a term used in the evaporation system....or the emmisions system. There is a puge valve that is solenoid controlled. The vapors purge into the intake while the car is running. if you get this code and your gas cap is tight. something is amiss with the fuel system tightness.
The mass air flow sensor is responsible for the amount of air the engine receives. For the Toyota Camry, it is located inside the air filter box. The sensor is about the size of a cigarette box that forms a connection between the throttle body and air intake .
Usually V6 has a MAF sensor. 4 cylinder does not have it.
Mass air flow sensor is located in the intake pipe connecting the air filter box with the throttle body.
DPFE sensor
EGR insufficient flow would mean that either the flapper inside of the valve is either stuck or broken, or the rubber diaphragm is busted inside, You would have to replace the EGR valve its self. = =
