only when it begins to fail.

If it's like the 2003, it won't have one because it is a sealed system. Ford thinks the transmission fluid they use will last forever..LOL, or they want the transmission to fail so you will have to pay BIG $$$ for a repair. You can check the fluid level using the check/fill plug located on the drivers side of the transmission. It is the smaller of the 2 plugs (larger one is the drain plug).
None, oil pumps are not prone to wear out or fail. If the oil pump is actually failing the whole engine is probably worn.
