You need to look at the carton. Most of these drinks are designed to compliment the diet that is not take the place of a meal but to have as well. It can be taken in sipd over an hour or two. Some provide extra protein which is good for tissue repair after an operation. I think Ensure Plus falls into this category. I think the Plus means it has extra protein in. If you look at the small print though you will find that it is not a massive amount and that is why it is important to have it as well as a meal and not instead of. Having said all that, if it is being given to a very poorly patient then they may find it is too much to have along with a meal as well. In this case I would be guided by the patient and think quality of life.
yes ensure plus and boost plus make you gain weight. It says it on the label "to help GAIN and maintain weight". I think that you have to drink 1 a day but if you really need to gain weight then you could drink 2. No harm done. And in about 2 weeks you could gain about 10 pounds :) you could buy them at the CVS by the medicine section they are only 8.99 but at Fiesta supermarket they are 7.99 they are cheaper :)

It is recommended to consume 1-2 Ensure drinks per day as part of a balanced diet. Exceeding this amount may result in excessive calorie intake or nutrient imbalances. It is best to consult with a healthcare provider for personalized recommendations.

it depends on which product you are talking about. there are different types of drinks like the plus ones, high calcium ones, and high protein ones. they also have puddings. look at their website for the nutritional information.
