Much like professional hair color hair cellophanes are acrylic based treatments. In a cellophanes treatment small unpigmented plastic molecules are deposited into the hair to increase shine, help texture and reduce tangle. The only difference between cellophanes and hair color is the cellophanes are clear rather than having a desired color. The cellophanes dont do the slight damage color does because of no or reduced amonia content.
