Well, there is two words that people confuse: Haram and Haraam

Haram is used to refer to something which is holy

Well Haraam means forbidden/not lawful and it can apply to anything that is considered forbidden in this beautiful way of life(Islam), not just food. It is the opposite of Halal which means; permissible/allowed or lawful.

For example; Haraam food: Food that is/contains anything Muslims are not allowed to eat/consume, such as: Pork, wine or any intoxicants, blood.

Meat that is from sheep, cattle etc.. that was not slaughtered in an Islamic manner is Haraam.

Also it's not spelled "muslaims" it's Muslims. A lot of Americans pronounce it (Muzlims) and (Izlam) but it's Muslims and Islam with an S.
