I don't think any major religion suggests that heaven is a physical place - they all (as far as I can tell) call it a state of being.
In Semite based religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) heaven is being with God. [// Fixed typo here//]
In Buddhism, Navarna/Nebana is a state of enlightenment and freedon from suffering - complete peace and contentment.
So, from an orthodox point of view - it doesn't
From my view - it looks "preferable" (to the alternative!)

We simply don't know what heaven will be like. However, we do know that it will be in the close presence of God and so it will be the ultimate in joy, happiness and peace.
Nobody knows. Most people think that heaven is not an actual place, but instead is the time when your soul is able to be with God forever. If heaven is a physical place like a planet, it probably looks like your favorite place on Earth.

∙ 15y agoIt says in The Bible that when the end comes we'll have a new place where the lamb lays down beside a lion. So just in case you're wondering what happens to pets they'll be there also because there will be animals there on the new earth. Heaven is paradise as he told the thief beside him on the cross. I expect it to be glorious something we don't understand but we will understand things. They say we don't use about 90% of the brain so whatever is hidden will be revealed to us.

∙ 9y agoThe term most frequently translated into the English 'hell' comes from the Hebrew 'sheol' or the Greek 'hades' both meaning pit or grave.
If you haven't done so as yet, simply go into any Cemetery and look at the graves - perhaps you may find a grave open before the coming funeral and burial. Looks like a hole in the ground.

∙ 9y agoWe do not know details, only metaphors and comparisons as heaven is so far beyond anything in this life short of the transforming union of the saints, as to leave the rest of us taking it on trust. The one thing we know is that it will bear little resemblance to this life on earth, but will be so far beyond our current understanding that we are going to spend an eternity in joy and happiness.
