The capacitive ignition, it is a direct ignition.
Please provide more info on what you mean by 'ignition'. Reason is that there are more specific items such as ignition coil (pack), ignition switch, etc...

Try putting the key in the ignition and taking out quickly, and or lubricate the ignition lock mechanism. it worked for me.
By taking it to a GM certified auto technician.
Try taking pressure off of the ignition switch by turning steering wheel. If that does not work try taking the handle of a screw driver and placing it against the ignition switch. Gently tap the end of the screwdriver with a hammer. This may be a temporary fix, but should keep you from needing a tow.
other then taking out the dash board turn your ignition key to acc and it should pop right off. plus if you go to autozone.com and look up ur ignition it will give you directions on how to take it out and replace it
Do you mean the electrical ignition switch or the cylinder lock and key..?
The process of removing a 1998 Toyota Camry ignition switch requires taking apart the steering column and lower dash, as well as several of the under-dash relays. The ignition switch is connected to the key cylinder and cabin wire harness. A faulty ignition switch will prevent the car from starting.
ignition misfire
Take off can mean two things. Taking off can mean leaving or it can mean that you are taking something off.
