Assuming you had a sexual relationship in the first place, he is most likely just trying to "hook up" (sorry to disappoint you).
it means he is wanting sex and is planning on using you for it if you will let him. Don't throw your pearls before swine, you deserve better then that. Ignore him and shut that door and look for the window that WILL be opened.
That is the oldest trick that men use to disrespect and use women. If he wanted you back he would not have said friend and he would not txt. he is trying you out to see if he can get the goods without having to deal with anything else. A good man would not have let you go. SO go and find the good man!
Go on you deserve better, i know that and don't even know you so why the hell does your ex think it is ok to treat you with disregard like that.
