Another possibility is that at some level he wants to create something beautiful and lasting with his girlfriend. In this interpretation, the pregnancy may be a metaphor for the relationship they have together, but it could just as well be the desire to create a child. Yet another possibility is that the dream expresses his fear of facing unexpected consequences for casual behavior.
