Intimate in what way. If you have known each other for a while, possibly years, he may just be more comfortable with you. Depending on your age, he may be trying to figure out how to behave with her and you he doesn't have to worry about what he says or acts. He probably feels he can trust you more than her because he does know you better. If he or you are not being sexual, I wouldn't read a lot into how he is acting. He is your friend and we are supposed to let friends act the way they need to sometimes.
