To read the engine error codes, cycle the ignition key from "off" to "on" three times: Turn the iginition key to the "on" position where the check engine light comes on but do not start the car. Turn the ignition key to off, then on, off, and on again and leave the key there. The odometer will read out any error codes. P0340 and P0344 are trouble codes for the camshaft position sensor.
