There is nothing wrong with taking a break from a hot and heavy romance that it getting too serious too fast, but, if she intends this, then she shouldn't be seeing you right now. I think you should call her bluff and tell her that she can't make any mature decisions as long as you are seeing each other every other day and that perhaps the both of you should start dating other people. One of two things will happen. She will either have her bluff called and realize you aren't going to hang around on the sidelines, or, she'll agree and she meant what she said to you.
