A bump on your rat's foot can mean lots of things. Do you have your rat on wire flooring? If you do, your rat may have bumblefoot, a serious disease which has no cure. If not, wait and see what happens. If you have waited about a week, and if the paw: (a) is getting worse, or (b) nothing is happening, but it's not getting better, or, if you've already waited awhile, then don't hesitate to take your rat to the vet. It could also be an abcess, which will also reguire veterinary attention.
Well, In dont want to scare you, but it might be a tumor.... what i would do is take you rat to your local vetrinarian, and have them check it out. The vet will give you several options on how to solve the problem, and you choose one of them.
