Well my gerbil started squeaking once and wouldn't stop, although it was cute I was kinda worried, I looked it up though and it said somewhere that they do it if they are scared or stressed, but youngsters always do it, I won't worry that much ^-^
scared
it means it likes you
It means that the gerbil felt like biting you
It is trying to get its moms attention or is crying.
No, the eye colour has no bearing on the gerbil's gender.
It means your Gerbil is overweight and eing regular sized or your gerbil is dying. - GerbilExpert
Not really. All this means is that they don't want you to pick them up right now. If you pick them up alot over time, they will stop squeaking.
it means: the gerbil
To hermit crabbers, these squeaks are called chirps, hermies make those noises when they are communicating with other hermies, for they are very very very social.
Gerbils use squeaks that sound like 'bird tweets' as a sign of communication between other gerbils. If you have more than one gerbil, you would hear them squeaking at eachother. Its really cute though :)
it barbs/through's up
Mice are very social animals. Their noises are their way of talking. Normal conversation for them sounds like quiet chatter. They also have quiet squeaks to show pleasure, as when they are being groomed. They have mid-range squeaks when they are being territorial, slightly louder short squeaks when they have fearful anticipation, and louder/longer high pitched squeaks when they are angry or hurt (physically or emotionally).
