- Good friends are suppose to be able to encourage their best friend in whatever they do or say nice things about them, but it does not mean they are in love with you. If you catch this girl looking at you and if you catch her looking and she appears shy or her face turns red then it is a possibility she may think of you as more than a friend. Good friends have good communication skills so if you have feelings for her perhaps ask her out to a movie or do something you both like to do and see where the relationship goes from there.

If she makes fun of you or she doesn't change her ways then walk away from the friendship and make other friends. This will certainly get the message across to your best friend and if she misses you enough and realizes you are not going to be ignored constantly and treated with disrespect she may well come back to you as a best friend and change her ways. There is no reason she cannot share her long time friend with you every so often.
