What does it mean when a guy denies liking anyone when asked by his friends when he actually does?

You really can never be sure that a person does like someone or doesn't. And if they really do like someone the reason they say they don't is because they don't want anyone to know their person business. If your friend denies liking anyone then you should not continue bringing it up, if they change their mind they'll probably let you know.
