It probably means you are reading too much into it. A hug can be JUST a hug. IF he tells you there is more, or there are other signs of more, than it may be different, but my dad and my brother even hug me like that. It can very simply be friendly affection.

While it's possible that he is interested in sex, hugging someone from the waist and their body extremely close, it could also show signs of great affection (depending on their personaility) - I wouldn't keep on the idea of him wanting straight-up sexual activites, have a little more faith in him than that, however, if he's known for being that kind-of person, don't bother, he could be playing with your emotions.
