It most likely means you have a bad O2 (oxygen) sensor, to be completely sure, I would take it somewhere and have an OBD2 scan done on it. Hope this was some help.
Check the engine thermostat. Its probably stuck open.
This depends on the vehicle. If the thermostat is stuck open the engine won't get to the proper operating temperature which could trigger the MIL (check engine light).
A defective thermostat can cause the engine to overheat. It can also cause the engine to not reach full operating temperature if the thermostat is stuck open. It is possible this could set the check engine light.
you have a stuck valve
this is normal for this engine, in fact anything short will trip a check engine light. the cause will be a low coolant condition, a thermostat stuck in the open position or a bad coolant sensor. this is normal for this engine, in fact anything short will trip a check engine light. the cause will be a low coolant condition, a thermostat stuck in the open position or a bad coolant sensor.
did u check if it was rusty or anything is stuck on the inside
Good Chance this is caused by a faulty O2 Sensor. I had the engine light stuck on in my 2002 Montana and replaced rear O2 sensor and it turned it off.
If the egr valve was stuck open, the engine wouldn't idle. If the egr valve was stuck closed you may hear excessive pinging (spark knock) and in most vehicles, the check engine light would illuminate.
Many vehicles will trigger a check engine code if the engine never reaches its designated operating temperature (Such as if a thermostat was stuck open). However, there are hundreds of other reasons a check engine light can come on. Putting in a thermostat solely because the check engine light came on is a very bad idea. Any time that light comes on you should have the vehicle scanned by a trained proffessional (The guy at Napa doesn't count). A good service technician can use the information given by the engine computer to determine what is wrong with the vehicle.
Trouble code P0741 means:Torque converter clutch circuit performance or stuck on
check emc fuse and the fuse next to it
The air door under the Blazers dash could be stuck, or there could be a vacuum leak on the engine. The door opens and closes from vacuum, directing the air from heat to defrost.
