This can be caused by a number of things. Your starter could be bad, you could have something in your gas tank, you may need to replace your spark plugs... the list goes on and on. You should probably take it to a trusted mechanic, redneck, cajun, or (as a last resort) the dealership.
AnswerThe ignition module could also go bad. If it goes bad put the key in the on position without trying to turn it over. Leave it in for 15 mins. take the key out and start it. Sounds simple but it worked for me. You can normally tell if this is the problem if the theft light stays on. Damn GM's AnswerTHIS HAPPENED TO ME LAST NIGHT on my 2002 Malibu - theft light was flashing, car would not start. put key in, turn on for 10 minutes, turn off, turn back on and start; and it started right up Answerit could also be your fuel pump,as i have that happened on my Chevy Malibu 2001It means that your not getting fuel to the engine or your not getting spark, if you have both the engine will fire, your missing one or the other.
