This happened to me once on my 99 Honda Civic. I was driving at about 30 mph when I heard a huge bang coming from the engine area. The sound coming from the engine was VERY LOUD as if there was no exhaust manifold!
As I decelerated, I lean forward to glance at the hood of my car and noticed the hood was released and an outward dent was noticeable - it actually bent a hood brace on the inside of the hood.
It end up being that the spark plug became loose and it shot out of the engine causing the hood to release from the catch and damaging it. The spark plug was not damaged and neither was the cable it was attached to (no coil packs). I placed the plug back in making sure enough torque was applied. Luckily the threads on the engine was also unharmed.
So.... basically, a running engine has significant amount of air compression which can behave like a cannon if a spark plug gets loose. Make sure spark plugs are installed with the manufacturer's recommended torque settings to avoid this and replace them when needed.
I'm guessing you mean spark plug gap? .050
can you please clarify what you mean, do you mean that the front heater blows cold but the rear blows hot or do you mean that when the heating is on cold it blows hot? many thanks paul
No
Ammonia (NH3) is a gas. It can be compressed the same way that Air can. … OK?
Compressed: The compressed air in bottle which can be bought at Home Depot.Zipped: When you zip up a zipper (i.e. "I zipped up my jacket.")
