If you are talking about the brake sensors then it is time to replace the front brake pads. You should also check the rears while you are at it. When replacing the front brake pads you will also need to change the sensors also.

A Mercedes 190e doesn't have a carburetor. They are fuel injected.
The oxygen sensor for my 1989 190E 2.6 is located on top of the exhaust just underneath the passenger side of the car. The wiring from the 02 sensor runs up underneath the passenger side floorboard carpet.

Check that you have enough antifreeze in the overflow recovery unit there is a switch inside that lets you know the fluid is low -- the light should go out by it'self if the level is above the sensor
asumming its turning over and you have a spark check the timing chain and or the crankshaft sensor.
